Magic Tricks You Can Do At Home
It is not necessary to go to a magic shop for props and whatever if you are starting out in magic. There are plenty of magic tricks you can do at home and all the props you need are there for the taking in the house.
Be assured that these are the easiest of the easy magic tricks you can do at home, and as you keep climbing the ladder of difficulty in performing magic tricks, on thing is very evident...be they easy magic tricks you can do at home or difficult ones in front of a crowd, you still need to practice diligently.
Getting back to the more simple magic tricks you can do at home, it is evident right away that just a couple of times doing the trick and getting familiar with it are all that's needed and you can pick it up in a short period of time with no problem.
All you'll need to look for is the part of the trick that tells you how it is done, the props needed to carry it out (they will be in the home since these are all magic tricks you can do at home), and a few run throughs to practice and you'll have it down.
Add in a gasping audience who can't wait to see just what fabulous magical things you will be doing with the "soup bowls and mops", and then start spouting some authentic magic words handed down through the centuries like "abracadabra" and maybe "pasta fazoola mitchacaboola, bibbity bobbity boo" to really get them revved up.
Now that you've taken care of all that, let's actually do one of these magic tricks you can do at home. Here is a very simple one in that it requires nothing more than a shallow flat bottomed pan, six toothpicks, a little liquid detergent, and some water.
Take one of the toothpicks and dip the tip of it in the liquid detergent (do that when no one is looking), and set it off to the side for about an hour so it can dry. Then make sure the pan is totally clean so there is no residue in it that can interfere with the action of the trick.
So, now we start. The audience is assembled from all corners of the house, drum roll please. Fill the pan with water and carefully place the five toothpicks on the water in the pan so they form a pentagon. Let the audience see it and then tell them you will break the pentagon apart without any force whatsoever, just a normal toothpick will do the trick...literally.
And after stating that fact, pick up the sixth toothpick that you dipped earlier in liquid soap, and place it very gingerly in the center of the pentagon. The toothpick pentagon will fly apart, and your devoted audience will be amazed at this wonderful example of magic tricks you can do at home.
